Bayern Munich v Man Utd Odds

2nd Leg - 19:45 - Wed 9th Apr 2014 - Allianz Arena -

Man Utd have it all to do in the Champions League quarter finals after drawing reigning champs and competition favourites Bayern Munich. The pair played out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in the first leg and despite the German side losing Bastian Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez for the second leg through suspension, the bookmakers' make Bayern odds on to reach the semi finals.

Schweinstieger cancelled out Nemanja Vidic's opener for United to get that vital away goal before he was sent off late on for a second bookable challenge on Wayne Rooney.

The Germans head the betting to win the Champions League this season and by doing so become the first team to win back to back titles in the Champions League era. Manchester United are languising in 7th place domestically and have suffered big home defeats to both Man City and Liverpool in recent weeks. Bayern on the other hand have already sewed up the Bundesliga title in a record amount of games and are long odds on to win the tie.

The second leg will be played in Germany on Wednesday 9th April.

Man Utd Form

Despite some pretty poor form by United's standards domestically, David Moyes' side qualified from Group A pretty comfortably, with a last match win over Shakhtar securing top spot. A 3-0 second leg win over Olympiacos was enough to win the tie 3-1 on aggregate in the last sixteen and set up this quarter final clash with Champions Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich Form

Last year's Champions have made their way to the quarter finals with relative ease, having topped Group D containing Man City, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen, they then knocked out Arsenal at the last sixteen stage for a second successive season.
