Manchester United qualified for the Champions League final by beating Schalke of Germany 6-1 on aggregate.
Two second half goals from Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney were enough to land Manchester United a comfortable 2-0 away win in Gelsenkirchin on Tuesday night. The away side dominated for the entire match and had it not been for German keeper Manuel Neur the tie could be all over at the half way stage. That saying, a two goal deficit to overturn at Old Trafford next week is a huge ask for Schalke and it's no surprise that Sir Alex Ferguson's side are long odds on to reach May's Wembley final.
Manchester United face Shakhtar Donetsk for a place in the 2011 Champions League final in May. Sir Alex Ferguson's side came through a tight and tense two legged quarter-final against rivals Chelsea whilst Schalke upset the odds by thrashing last year's champions Inter Milan in their quarter-final.
The bookmakers make Man Utd favourites to quaify from these two legs, but they won't take their opposition lightly having seen the Germans upset the odds against both Valencia and Inter Milan in the knockout stages of this season's competition.
