Rangers Champions League Betting
Rangers take their place in the 20010/11 Champions League courtesy of winning the SPL title for a 53rd time last season. Success however has not been as easy to find in Europe. The first British Club to reach a final when defeated in the Cup Winners Cup final against Fiorentina, Rangers also lost in the final in 1967 to Bayern Munich. However they did go on to win the Cup Winners Cup in 1972 beating Dynamo Moscow. Rangers more recently reached the UEFA Cup final losing to Zenit St. Petersburg in 2008. Rangers did play in the first ever Champions League and finished unbeaten. In 1993 two groups of four made up the Champions League with the winner of each playing in the final. Walter Smith will be looking for a better campaign this season than last where the Scottish Champions failed to get out of the group stages.
