Chelsea v Inter Betting
2nd Leg - Stamford Bridge 16th March 2010
|London - Stamford Bridge||Score|
Jose Mourniho's Inter upset the odds on what was a good night for the bookmakers, winning 1-0 and 3-1 on aggregate in their match with Chelsea. Mourinho knows how to get a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge and the Italians rarely looked likely to concede and as the home team pressed in the second half the chances opened up for Inter. Samuel Eto'o's strike twelve minutes from time was the decider after he latched onto Wesley Sneijder's through ball to fire past Chelsea keeper Ross Turnbull. There was still time for a raft of bookings for the home side and what seems to be the compulsory red card for Didier Drogba late on.
Chelsea v Inter Odds
1st Leg - Milan - Wednesday 24th Feb 2010
|Milan - Giuseppe Meazza Stadium||Score|
|Milito 3||(1-0)||Kalou 51|
Chelsea travelled to Milan to face former manager Jose Mourinho's Inter side in the Champions League last sixteen on Wednesday night, knowing that a draw would be a good result to take back to Stamford Bridge on the 16th March. However, pre-match plans were scuppered when Diego Milito scored as early as the third minutes for the hosts. Chelsea managed to level the tie early in the second half through Kalou but Inter took the lead again within four minutes through an unlikely source in Esteban Cambiasso. The score finished 2-1 with both parties likely to be reasonably happy. This was Inter's first win in six matches against English opposition but will be wary that they have lost on both of their previous visits to England.
