Barcelona progressed to the Champions League semi-finals thanks to a 6-1 aggregate win over Shakhtar Donetsk. The Spaniards remain favourites to lift the trophy at Wembley in May.

The bookmakers have virtually stopped betting on the to qualify market for this Champions League quarter-final following Barcelona's 5-1 first leg win in the Camp Nou on Wednesday night. Goals from Iniesta and Dani Alvez gave the home side a two goal lead at half time, before Gerard Pique made it three shortly after the break. Shakhtar got a goal back but Barcelona responded instantly through Keita before Xavi Hernandez rounded off the scoring five minutes from time.

Barcelona will be the long odds on favourites for this Champions League quarter final with Ukranian side Shakhtar Donetsk. Barcelona disposed of Arsenal in the last sixteen and breezed through their group, which contained Rubin Kazan, FC Copenhagen and Panathinaikos. The first leg is played at the Nou Camp which sould suit Pep Guardiola's side, who are short priced favourites to win the competition outright.

Shakhtar Donetsk make the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in their history. The Ukranian champions won a Group H which contained Arsenal, Sporting Braga and Partizan Belgrade. Baring a thrashing at the hands of Arsenal at The Emirates Shakhtar have won all of their other games in the Champions League this season and have an enviable home record in Europe.
