The 2011 Champions League final was between Barcelona and Manchester United. Barcelona came out on top beating Sir Alex Ferguson's side 3-1 at Wembley Stadium. United came out of the traps quickly causing the Barcelona defence some problems, but it wasn't long before Barca got their passing game into action and took the lead through Pedro in the 27th minute. United struck back within ten minutes through Wayne Rooney as the teams went in level at half time.
The second half Barcelona seemingly upped their tempo and the United midfield were chasing shadows. A left foot strike from Lionel Messi gave Pep Guardiola's side a 2-1 lead before David Villa's exquisite finish made it 3-1.
Barcelona were the bookmakers favourites to win the Champions League from the outset of the competition and have once again been installed as favourites for next year's Champions League.
