AC Milan have appeared in the most Champions League finals since 1993 and have won three of them, itself a record with Real Madrid. Winners in 1994, 2003 and most recently in 2007 Milan are now going through a bit of a transitional period, as long time manager and former player Carlo Ancelotti joined Chelsea in the Summer. After a season out of the Champions League last year they return to the competition in 2009/10 after finishing third.
AC Milan crashed out of the Champions League to Manchester United, losing 7-2 on aggreagte to the English Champions.

AC Milan have plenty of experience in the team now managed by ex-player Leonardo. Former Champions League winners Massimo Ambrosini, Gennaro Gattuso, Gianluca Zambrotta, Clarence Seedorf and Andrea Pirlo make up the spine of the team whilst Brazilians Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato are charged with getting the goals.
After so many years with Ancelotti at the helm it'd be a big ask for Leonardo to lead them to Champions League glory, however with the ageing look to the team we're not sure they have enough to win this season, especially with the departure of Kaka to Real Madrid in the summer.
